Miniature in the park
  • Youth hostel PTTK "Nad Łomniczką"

The tourist object is located in the national park of the Giant Mountains ("Karkonoski Park Narodowy") at an altitude of 1,002 meters above sea level. Right at the bottom of "Kocioł Łomniczki" on the bank of the "Łomniczka" stream, which flows at the foot of the Śnieżka mountain. Close to the youth hostel is a very attractive hiking trail to the Śnieżka and a symbolic cemetery "Ofiar Gór" (victims of the mountains). The first shelter in the "Kocioł Łomniczki" was built in 1901, but completely destroyed on March 31st, 1902 by a rubble avalanche. The current shelter was built at the beginning of the 20th century below the old one. Unlike other shelters, there is no accommodation or power supply. In addition, due to the popularity of the chairlift at the Śnieżka, it has been forgotten. However, it offers a beautiful viewpoint on the "Czarna Kopa".

This miniature was built by two artists in one month.
