Like every year on the feast day of St. Valentine many lovers visited our Park. Those who visited us could enjoy the beautiful weather. In the morning it was raining lightly but that brought two beautiful rainbows and in the evening the clear sky allowed to enjoy a magical sunset in the Giant Mountains.

This week you can take a look behind the scenes of the Architectural Model Studio in the Miniature Park in Kowary. The current project is the miniature of the castle Frydlant. It offers an interesting combination of medieval elements and modernization in the Renaissance style. The most famous owner was Albrecht von Wallenstein, a brilliant strategist, who commanded the armies of the Emperor during the Thirty Years War. Soon, the model is another attraction in the Miniature Park. Until then, our guests have the opportunity to observe our modelbuilders during their work.
We are open daily between 9:00 to 17:00!

For the children of Lower Silesia the winter break has begun today. There are many ideas on how to spend the holiday. Among the best ones are the ski trip and the visit of the Miniature Park in Kowary. The mountains sink into the white of the snow, so that skiers have finally the feeling of a real winter. This is confirmed by the photographs from our Park from last weekend.

We are open daily from 9.00 until 17.00 o'clock!

The Architecture Studio in the Miniature Park in Kowary will soon finish their latest masterpiece - the Miniature of the narrow-gauge railway in the community of Rewal. The models of the five stations are presented in the Miniature Park in Kowary until the project is completed. They stay here for several months until they are presented as the new attraction in the Miniature Park of the Polish Lighthouses in Niechorze, where the original narrow-gauge railway is located.
We are open daily from 9.00 until 17.00 o'clock.

Last week we had the special opportunity to organize a meeting of the "Rotary Club Jelenia Góra", which was held in the cafeteria of our Miniature Park in Kowary. Marian Piasecki took care of our guests on this special evening.
We thank all those who participated.

The frost and the last traces of snow disappear from the Jelenia Góra Valley. The sunny weather gives us the feeling of spring, but is still far away. Nevertheless, this kind of weather provides the opportunity for a long walk in the mountains and of course a visit to our Miniature Park in Kowary. In our Park you can enjoy the fresh mountain air, while admiring our miniatures and then enjoy a coffee or a hot chocolate in our warm hall.

We are open daily from 9.00 until 17.00!

Tonight we welcome the year 2016. For this reason, we decided to take a look back at the last 365 days!
Last winter brought a lot of snow, but the spring came quickly and just as quickly it turned into a nice, long, hot summer.

Our Model Studio completed three major projects: the miniature of the Palace Bad Muskau and the town hall of Kołobrzeg and a replica of the largest foghorn of the Baltic Sea. The latter two for the Miniature Park in Niechorze.

The Park of Bouncy Castles celebrated its first season. The new attraction in Kowary is a dream world full of bouncy castles and other attractions for the youngest. Starting this year, always in the summer, children can jump, romp and swim between colored palaces and castles. For the waiting adults we have set up an outdoor Café and a Burger Bar.

The highlight of the last year was the discovery of the "Gold Train", which you can now see in our Park every day. Of course, with gold loaded but 25 times smaller than the original!

We would like to thank everyone who visited us in 2015!
We wish you all a Happy New Year!

We approach slowly one of the most magical time of the year. Christmas is coming soon!

Every year, many are looking for new ideas to decorate the home for Christmas. Ours is the Advent star.
For the Jelenia Góra valley, there is a very special Advent star, but to present his story, we must first go back to the year 1837.

During this time the Tyrolean came to the Giant Mountains. They were Protestants and the Emperor of Austria presented them an ultimatum: return to the Catholic Church or exile. They chose loyalty and faith, and so they were forced to abandon their beloved home. Fortunately, the King of Prussia offered to help. In the summer of 1837 the Tyrolean hiked 20 days to the Jelenia Góra Valley. Initially, they stayed in Kowary. Then they were given land within the royal palace in Mysłakowice, where they built their characteristic mountain huts. It seemed that their journey ended, but for some of them it was not the end of the hike.

Fifty years later, for a large number of Europeans, North America is the new promised land. Here immigrate Irish, Germans, Norwegian, Polish, Czech, Italians and Hungarians. And how small is the world, when the Tyrolean from our mountains meet monks from the Czech Republic in Canada.

A sign of the Protestant Order is the "Moravian Star". The star accompanies the monks on all their travels. The monks taught the immigrants how to build this beautiful star. And since then the Tyrolean houses are decorated for over a hundred years with these stars.

This particular decoration is now available for purchase in our Park Café. During the holidays we are open from 9.00 until 17.00 o'clock. Only on December 25th, the park is closed and on Christmas Eve open from 9.00 until 14.00 o'clock.
Warm welcome!

This week we had the honor to welcome Tadeusz Słowikowski in our Miniature Park. Mr. Słowikowski has found the first traces of the tunnel, in which the "Gold Train" is suspected. It all began after the war, in the late 40s, when Mr. Słowikowski started to work in the mine Wałbrzych. Here he got the first information about the train. This was the beginning of a remarkable journey that continues to this day, and made Tadeusz Słowikowski an expert in this field. He talked with many eye-witnesses and collected information. Since his research were brought to the public by two men, he is besieged by many journalists and filmmakers from around the world. But he still found the time to visit the Park in the company of his grandchildren and took a look at our Gold Train. We can proudly say that he liked it as the owner of the Park - Marian Piasecki - can attest.

Finally the first snow has fallen in the Miniature Park. Although not much, you can now admire our Miniatures in a white fuzz. Best equipped with gloves, hat and of course camera. We cordially invite you to visit us in Kowary.

The highest mountain in the Giant Mountains is already working on his winter fur. The first light snow still stands in contrast with the green slopes of the other peaks. In the mountains, the temperatures drop at night already below zero. In Jelenia Góra, the situation is completely different. Not like in the fall, but more like in the spring, sunny and warm. Who still wants to catch the last rays of sunshine before the rain, can do so in our Miniature Park in Kowary.

This year Poland's independence day is celebrated for the 97th time. It is supposed be a warm and rainless day. An ideal opportunity to meet with family and friends. Of course the Miniature Park in Kowary is open for visitors on this important Polish holiday. Due to the early dusk, you also have the opportunity to admire our Miniatures in the dark illuminated by lamps.
The Polish radio and television will soon report that the "Gold Train", has appeared with the stolen treasures of the Third Reich in our Miniature Park. The only difference, the scale! Our train is 25 times smaller.
We welcome you every day in our Park! Also on November 11th, we are open from 9.00 am until 5.00 pm.

Soon we could find out what really is under the 65-kilometer railway line between Wałbrzych and Wrocław. That it is a train, is almost certain. The secret is what it has loaded?
The armored trains, which were used in the forties in the fighting in Europe were mostly relics of WWI. In 1944, two armored trains of the Wehrmacht disappeared without a trace.
Will one of them be found soon?
In the Miniature Park in Kowary it has already happened and we even have the treasures that the Gold Train had loaded!
You can watch the train and much more every day from 9.00 am until 5.00 pm.

This year's hot summer has met all expectations. Thanks to warm nights and sunny days you could enjoy the mountains all summer long. The weather in autumn was also very sunny but now the incoming rain are also a nice change.
In the Miniature Park in Kowary rain is not a problem. Each guest will receive at the entrance of the Park an umbrella for use during the stay. In our Café we serve delicious coffee and other delicacies right next to the roaring log fire. Therefore, regardless of the weather, we invite you to take a walk in the Miniature Park of the Lower Silesian Monuments in Kowary!

With the time change on Sunday, October 25th, our Park will also be open one hour shorter over the winter. Until spring daily from 9.00 am until 5.00 pm.
On November 1st - All Saints Day - the Park will be closed.
